This paddle was designed by Wayne Smith K8FF and was the winner of the 1997 NorCal design contest. The NorCal club produced the kits. I purchased the kit when it was introduced. I finally put it together during my Christmas vacation in 2015.

After using the paddle for a while, I got tired of the plexiglass paddles breaking off. The holes in the plexiglass are very close to the edge. I fabricated new paddles from 1/8″ fiberglass material. They seem to be holding up much better than the originals.
